early dismissal :)
Aug. 15th, 2005 04:29 pmAng sarap talaga ng early dismissal :D The perfect ending to an otherwise boring day. Waking up at 8 am is never a good thing, especially when you went to sleep at past midnight =_= Even worse is waking up at 8 am for an organic chemistry class. The subject is not only dull, but also difficult to understand. In today's lecture, the professor just breezed through stereoisomers and enantiomers like they were elementary-level topics. Well, to be fair, isomerism was already taught in 3rd year high school, but it's still not an easy topic. Because of the speed of the lecture, the class ended 30 minutes early, but I'd much rather end on time if it meant actually understanding what the heck he was saying.
After chemistry, Cassy and I met up for lunch. Again. Haha. I hope we don't eventually get sick of each other. Anyway. After a while, Jeunesse joined us and we had a nice, geeky conversation about chromosomes and mitosis. Hey, we're all Pisay alumni after all :P Since we all had class at 12 nn, we eventually went our separate ways. My next stop: Molecular Genetics lecture. Today, we finished talking about the different organelles found in eukaryotes and moved on to mitosis and meiosis. Sounds boring, but the professor kept cracking these weird jokes about yeast and Orchard Road so it was actually pretty fun. Amazingly, despite his frequent digressions about his adolescent life, he finished the lesson 40 minutes early. So instead of letting us leave immediately, he proceeded with the discussion we were supposed to have later tonight during the tutorial session. And despite that, we still finished ahead of time. So here I am, vegetating since 2 pm :D And to think Monday is supposed to be my most hectic day. I hope we always end early :D
I finally got my microphone to work. After plugging it into every possible port, asking Cassy and everyone else around, calling the Fujitsu customer service, installing some device driver or whatnot, and fiddling around with the settings, I finally did something that made it work. Well, whatever it was, I'm just glad this thing is finally working. And now Cassy and I are taking advantage of one of the features of the new Yahoo! Messenger: PC calling :D You can call another person from anywhere in the world through YM for free. It's like Skype (which no one seems to know about.. weird.) but with less features. Skype is still better because you can have conferences like on a real phone (three-way), as well as the usual instant messaging. So go download either the new YM or Skype now! :D
